Sponsor wife and a baby on H1B VISA

I have H1B visa upto 2016. My wife is expecting her first baby this October. wife is on H4 visa. can we afford a baby on H1B salary?, as my wife is on H4 visa and can't work. How much money will required from medical expenses to delivery and hospital charges. Also, can we manage on one salary later on.

This doesnt seem to be related to an immigration issue and is very much a personal decision. Seems its your first baby and you getting nervous. Nonetheless, I am sure you must be having medical insurance, and a decent H1B salary. Talk to your friends and family as it involves both personal and financial matters and find out how people around you are managing. I am sure you will get confidence to enter parenthood .
