Is Visa stamping needed in this case?

Hi Senior Members/Attorneys,

I have a valid H1B visa which is valid till September 2014 with Company A. I had my H1B visa transfer done here in US 2 months back to a new Company B. I have a plan of going to India around May or June.

Do I need to get my stamping done when I visit India even though I have a valid visa until Sept 2014 with Company A?

Please suggest.

Technically No. But some officers at port of entry will grant you I-94 only till visa expiry date. So as and when you return in May/June, you might be given a new I-94 only till Sept 2014. You can request the officer to grant you I-94 till your newer petition end date, but if he/she doesnt oblige, you would need to file an extension request before Sep-2014.
