COS: L1 becomes invalid after H1?

Hello All,

I am currently in US on L1 and planning for COS of my L1 through a H1 sponsor.If I get H1 then will my L1 becomes invalid?

The L1 visa as such doesn't become invalid, but as you have requested for a Change of Status to H1 and it was approved, you have to work with H1 employer from COS start date.

If you want to continue working with L1 employer you would have to leave US before H1 COS start date and return after H1 COS start date on valid L1 visa so that COS to H1 doesnt happen.
