H4 stamping in india

Hi,

I was in USA for last 6 years on H1b.
I am planning to apply for H4 dependent visa by filing DS160 form since my wife has a valid H1b.She has her I797 and I129 forms.I will be going alone for H4 stamping in india.
While going for H4 stamping at US consulate in India , do i need to carry my wifes I797 original form or should i need to ask my wifes employeer to apply I797 for me also and then only i should go for stamping.
This is the first time ,i am going for H4 stamping in india.
Please advice.

H4 stamping in india

Where are you currently located? If you are in india and going for h4 stamping, then you just need to have your wife approved H1 petition and other necessary documents.
