Hello,
I am trying to apply for new H1 for my wife this year through contractor. She is in H4 now last 8 months since she came to US.
Please clear my questions below.
1. What is the time frame she get her H1 approved?
2. From when she will become employee of that contractor?
3. Say her H1 is approved and she supposed to start work from 10/01/2014. But assume she opt not to work. Is it possible for me to get her H4 with my H1?
3.a. if yes, how long it takes to get her H4? Is there any cost I need to spend?
Is there going to be any overhead? Because is there going to be any overhead? Because she got new H1 approved but she opt not to work.
4. By doing this (point 3), is there any chance the contractor who filed her H1 will ask for any money? Or sue my wife because she got new H1 approved but she opt not to work.
5. After my wife gets COS from H1 to H4, is it possible for her to go back to previously approved H1?
