H1B transfer from India

I worked in US for 2 years; my H1B is valid till Feb 2016 & I am currently in India.
How hard or easy is it to get my H1B transferred while being in India?
To achieve this - are consultancies the only feasible way? Please suggest.

If you have a skill set that is rare and in demand then am sure you could get genuine employers too who would be willing to file a cap exempt petition for you.

But large IT players have their own internal process bottlenecks which sometimes makes it difficult to get a H1 cap exempt petition filed through them.

On the other side would be consultancies, some genuine, some not so genuine ones. Most of them would require you to pay for the legal costs, or flight tickets or some other sort of guarantee, which is sometimes required too. Because some consultancies are not professional similarly some employees are also not professional, and in this tussle of keeping ones interest safe, its difficult to find genuine employer OR genuine employee.
