  • H4 Visa Interview Waiver Program Question

    Greetings,

My H4 visa stamped in Dec 2009 and came to US in 2010. My H4 visa got renewed 2 times(2011 and 2014) along with my spouse H1 visa since 2009 but not stamped in India.

My Spouse H1 visa stamped in 2007 and have been working with the same employer since then.

After many years of stay, now I'm going to India and my question is, do I need to attend Visa interview personally or can skip it using visa waiver program?

While filling DS-160, I was shown Visa Waiver program screen with YES or NO options. I did proceed with YES and finally shown dropbox confirmation screen.

If I proceed with dropbox option, how safe it is? or do I need to schedule personal interview slot?

Seeking your advice on this what to do. Please throw your advice.

    Thanks!!

I dont think she is eligible as she desnt meet the criteria "If I am applying for an H or L (individual) visa, my prior visa in the same classification with the same petitioner is still valid or expired within the last 12 months". Out here, it means prior stamped visa.

The prior Stamped H4 visa would have expired before March 2013.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
