Hi Gurus,
I am on H1B. I got a new job and my H1 transfer petition has been filed. It is not yet approved but I have the receipt number. My new job is to start from 4/14.
However, my current employer may terminate my job on 3/31 (foolish I was to give them a notice period of 2 weeks). I understand I go out of status as soon as my employment is terminated. My questions are:
1) Can I continue to remain in the US since my H1 transfer petition has already been filed(though not yet approved)?
2) Would there be any problem in my GC application in future as there would be gap in my employment?
