Currently I am in L1b, processed by my present employer.
Date of travel to US: Aug 7, 2011
Never traveled to India for vacation.
I have a valid H1 petition processed by ex-employer and the petition was approved in Apr 2005. Stamped at Chennai consulate on Oct 2005 with validity till Apr 2008. I never traveled on the H1 petition using that stamped Visa. I need the following queries to be answered.
* Is my H1 petition valid & if valid how long its valid?
* If valid can I request for h1 transfer/port through a new potential employer
* My L1B petition is expired and my current employer has applied for an extension with USCIS, if I have decided to pursue the H1 route and filing for a transfer will this have any impact on L1 extension or H1 transfer vice versa.
