H1B Transfer with I-797C soft copy & no stamping in passport
Hi,
I'm in India working in a MNC. I applied for H1B visa thru' a US based consulting company XYZ in Apr-2013 with whom I'm not working. Consulting company XYZ sent me scanned copy of I-797C form in May-2013. But, they didn't send me I-797A (approval notice) till date and told me that it got lost in the mail. They don't have plans to get me stamped & also no travel plan to US.
My questions
1. I have only I-797C soft copy. Can I transfer my H1B to another company? Is it possible?
2. Will there be any issue while I go for stamping in India?
3. How long it takes to do H1B transfer to another company?
