Is Client Letter Mandatory during H1B Extension Visa Stamping

I got all the required documents for the H1B extension - Visa Stamping except Client Letter. Im planning to travel India from USA for getting the Stamping.
But I would like to know whether Client Letter is Mandatory to carry .If not , will I receive 221g form

No one can predict that however it's pretty risky to attend the visa interview without the client letter in india. You could also have an email from your client stating that they cannot provide the client letter as it is against their organizational policy.

You have not provided the associated dates w.r.t your visa expiry, extension petition details and current I 94 expiry. So, could not provide any further options to you.
