Employer change in last year of H1

I am currently with Company A on H1B maxing out in May 2015. Company A has initiated my GC under EB3 (priority date – Oct 2013) for which PERM approval has yet to come.
I want to change my employer. What are my best and safest options to do so and what should I expect from the new employer to continue living and working on a valid Visa/Work permit in US.

I have no dependents on my visa.
