H1B Visa getting expired in October 2014

Hi All,

I have a valid H1B Visa from a company A and have stayed in US for 1 year and then returned to India. My Visa was stamped in 2011 for 3 years. The stamping in my passport shows that it is valid till October 2014. Now am no more associated in the same company and have switched to Company B. I have not transferred my Visa yet to company B. And i doubt this company will transfer it.

After October 2014, will my H1B completely expire? Means if i want to travel to US shall i go for a new(fresh) H1B after October?

Please let me know in case anyone has some idea on this. Your help is appreciated.

Your visa will expire not your H1B.Since you have utilized 1 year only you can recapture the balance 5 years.If you want to goto US then you to file a CAPEXEMPT petition & then get visa stamping & fly to US.Otherwise you can find a new sponsor & file new H1B petition in premium processing after approval you can goto US with the old visa but that should happen before OCT 2014
