F1 to H1 to F1

Hi,

I have an unique situation.

I was working on H1B for an employer where my employment was terminated. I worked for this employer for less than a year. I was on CPT and OPT during my employment period for 5 and 4 months respectively. So my H1 was for just 3 months.

Since I was terminated, I changed my visa to F1, I had not completed my phd when I joined the company. Its been 6 months on F again now.

Can I transfer my H1?

Is there a cap on the salary with the new employer? I was earning more than 60k.

I will complete my phd in july, in 2 months. Can I stay and look for a job?
