Effect of H1 rejection on other visas (B1)

Hello everyone,

I have applied for H1B visa this year and recently that visa was rejected. And VISA rejection notice it was mentioned the rejection as beneficiary (employer) has not met the requirement criteria. (VISA rejected at the petition level itself.)

I am working in MNC company in India and now my company has applied for B1 visa now. I would like to know whether there will be any effect of H1 rejection on business visa. I haven't mentioned H1 rejection in the B1 application as I was not aware of the rejection at the time of applying B1 visa. What are the possible questions at consulate on this.

that shud not be a problem. as per your posting i understand that your h1 has been rejected at petition level..i.e. INS in US has rejected the petition filed by your employer. Petition and visa both are different things.
Coming to ur b1 application, you need to enter the info of any visa rejections but not petition rejections. so dont worry..
