I have a in I797 valid from Nov 2011 to No 2014.
My company applied for extention in May 2014 and i have received the new I797. The new I797 is valid from Nov 2014 to Nov 2017.
I want to go to India in July 2014 and need to attend Visa stamping.
Please advice if i have to use the new receipt no or old receipt no.
If i use old receipt no i will get only untill Nov 2014.
i dont know if i can use the new I 797, since it says that i can attend interview only 90 days before the employment date ( Not sure if it is I797 date or employment date)
Please advice if i can use the new I797, but will i get stamping immediately or they will tell me to come 90 days before Nov 2014
