Hi,
I maxed out on my 6 yrs on H1B in Mar 2014. Since then I moved to H4 on my husband's H1. I am currently on H4.
My Perm and I140 got approved last month, Jun 2014.
Now I am trying to find a project so my H4 to H1 transfer can happen and I can start working.
I have 2 questions -
1. As per my understanding, my employer will have to apply for labor for the state where I get the project and I will have to wait for H1B transfer to be filed and APPROVED before I can start working. Is this correct or can I start working based on H4 to H1 receipt as soon as the transfer is applied?
2. Can I change the employer at this stage?
