I have H1B visa stamped on passport, which was lost in June. I have applied for a new one and waiting for it to come. I had mailed all the details regarding my lost passport to [email protected].
Can my wife still travel to US on valid H4 while I'm waiting for my passport to arrive, then visa to be stamped?
I asked the ustraveldocs support, they replied by stating:
With regards to your queries, we would like to inform you that, she is not required to apply for a visa, if her visa is valid. If she is not a first time traveler then, she may travel to the U.S. alone.
However, the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials have authority to permit or deny admission to the United States, and determine how long a traveler may stay.
However, the visa call center guys said she can't. Anyone know for sure if she can travel alone on H4?
