I recently went for my H1B visa stamp in Nuevo Laredo and got a 221g denial. The only reason that is given in the denial notice is
Other: fingers need to heal completely
The interview itself went smoothly. I had all my papers: F1/OPT/previous H1s/employer letters etc.
However, at the end of the interview the Visa Officer said that there is a fresh cut on the index finger of your right hand and come back when your hand heals.
My questions are
(1) What advice would forum posters give me?
(2) Has anyone else been in this situation?
I called an scheduled a follow up appoitment on Monday (November 7th) at 1pm. Hopefully my fingers heal by then
I'm also going to try and get back across the border if I get denied for the same reason on Monday. Any advice on anyone else having done this? I have all my documents with me: I94, H1B, passport etc.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated
