I797 expired but I 94 & Visa is valid

I'am in a situation as per below, please advice:
I797 expired March-26-2014

H1b Visa valid till- Nov-17-2014
I-94 valid till- SNov-17-2014

Is my stay is legal till Nov-17-2014?

Shall I do the H1 transfer at the above situation?

Do i need to file for visa extension before I 797 expires?

Please provide your valuable inputs.

I797 expired but valid I94

Hi,

I am in the same situation. I have I797 valid for one year but i have I94 valid for four years. I have just learned that I797 is expired already for four months, because i was looking at only passport visa only and not knowing the legality of I797. What should i do? Please advice.

I797 - Feb 2013 to Feb 2014
I94 - Feb 2017
H1b Visa on Passport - Feb 2017

Can my I797 be extended by my current employer? Or can it be transferred to another company? Am i staying legally?

Please advise. Thanks.
