Pls Help! H1B Visa Stamping Date

Hello, In my fresh petition for H1b, petition start date is given as Oct 1 2014. My only question is-
Can I appear for Visa Interview before Oct 1 2014?

H1b Stamping date

I read in multiple forums. They said that you can attend the H1-B interview before 90 days prior to the start date of your employment.

And you can enter into U.S. only 10 days before your employment start date.
