I-94 Issue

Here is series of events:

1. I was working with company "A". I have visa stamped with company "A" information untill FEB-06. (valid as of today)
2. In MAR-05 I got offer from company "B" and I got new I-94 with date JAN-08. I haven't jointed "B" untill Jul-05.
3. In APR-05 I travelleled to India and came back. I got new I-94. Date was FEB-06.

This is a situation where I have the "most recent" I-94 (india travel-FEB06), expiring "earlier" than the I-94 I got when H1 was processed by new employer(JAN-08).

What do I need to do? I am getting conflicting answers on this issue. My lawyer says, file for an extenstion or travel to mexico to get visa stamped before FEB-06?

Need your opinion on this matter.

The latest I-94 you got is what counts. Your stay is valid till Feb-06.

Your lawyer is right.
