H1 Expired without US travel

Hi,

My H1B visa is about to expire in a weeks time filed by my employer A in India. I do not see any projects coming in my way that I can travel within this week so it is bound to expire. Can I apply for new employer in US so that they can file a petition for me. Do I need to go consulate for stamping again. What is the chance of getting rejected.

What are good job sites in US I can refer to find a new employer?

Assuming your H1 petition was filed in last 6 Years, then another employer can use it to file a cap exempt petition for you. Yes you would need ot go for stamping again as your current visa is about to expire, and will surely expire before you cna find another employer.
