Hello,
I want to know if a F-1 visa can be converted to H-1B. In my case, i already have a Masters degree on a previous F-1(graduated 2005) and also have 2 years of work experience on a H-1B visa(2006-2008) in the same field as my Masters education. This included the period of OPT after graduation.
Now, i have a F-1 visa for a new Masters course(starting winter 2015). I am also applying for work based on my previous experience. So, incase, i get a job offer from an employer based on my previous qualification and experience, will the employer be able to file for H-1B and can my status be converted from F-1 to H-1B ? If this is possible, when would be a good time to apply for H-1B ?
