Hi Gurus,
I currently hold an H1B visa, expiring on 31st May, 2015. My I-94 also expires on the same day. I heard that it is better to apply for an extension 5-6 months in advance. The problem is, my sister's wedding is coming up in March 2015, for which I need to go to India. But I have want to come back and continue in the US(provided my extension request is approved).
My questions:-
1. After filing the extension, in say Jan 2015, can I go out of the country and get back in March 2015, if my visa extension status is still pending?
2. How early can you apply for an extension?
3. How long does it take to process the extension, before you can get a result?
