H1B - Change of passport prior to port of entry

Hi,

I just got my h1 stamped in India. However there are hardly any pages left in my passport.

Before i make port of entry, I might have to travel to other country on current job and that might fill up passport. Will it be OK if I renew my passport before I make port of entry??
