Cancelling interview to correct mistake in pettioner information in US travel docs

Hi,
Any one please help me.
I have scheduled an appointment for my H1b visa interview.
Now I found a mistake in expiry date of petition information in personal profile section of US travel docs.
So I want to cancel my appointment and reschedule it.
But My question is If I cancel the appointment can I re-enter the correct expiry date of petition and then reschedule it?
