query regarding h4

hi,

i have attended for h1 visa in oct and my
application has been on hold under 221(g) and the form
says tht the embassy is gonna contact me once the
decision is made. Now i am getting married to a guy in
DEC who had his H1B approved and is moving to USA in
feb. Can i attend for H4 before he leaves to USA.
Since he is going for the first time he doen't have
any paystubs.. do i have to wait till the decision is
made by Emabsy on my H1 to appear for H4???
do i need his 6 months pay stubs to appear for Visa???
if not needed can i attend for visa in Jan, so tht
both of us can go together...
plz calrify these...appreciate yr time

Hi Sudha,
It is best if you can attend the same interview as your would-be husband. If his H1b goes through well, your H4 will be given without any problem. Ofcourse, the visa officer may want to know about your previous h1B attempt. But you have be clear that you do not intend working in the US.
