H1b-First name and last name interchanged in the passport.

Hi,
I have a H1b interview at the end of nov 2005 in chennai.
My name in the passport is written as sirname/familyname=suresh hunsoor; given name/first name= Thopaiah. But it has to be family/sir name= Hunsoor Thopaiah; given name/first name=Suresh.
All the h1 documents have my first name as 'Thopaiah' and my last name as 'suresh hunsoor'. and all my certificates(degree certificates,marks sheets,etc) have my name as 'Suresh H.T'. I want to make correction in the passport, but My employer has advised not to make correction as all teh approval documents have already come.
Does it create any problem in the H1b interview?

you can explain it to the VO, they r kind of familiar with Probs with Indian Long names. So dont worry

Follow-up question...

Just to reconfirm:

So this means I should use the same interchanged version for all purposes: right from DS 156 to SSN,DMV, opening bank accounts etc?
(which eventually means that I will be using my father's name, as my "first name"... Hope its not a problem as long as Its consistent across all records)

Yes, you use the name everywhere as it is in the passport and visa.
