I recently got laid off at work and my end date is the 10th November (about two weeks from now). I have a new job and they are in process of transferring the H1-B. I expect the receipt from USCIS to arrive before my current end date - We are also doing premium processing. The problem is that I may not be able to start my new job until the end of November (the new employer needs time to do various checks). Does this mean I would be out of status and need to leave the country if I am not being payed between the 3rd of November and the end of November even if I have the receipt/approval for the transfer?
