H1B Visa Stamping - Please Help

Hi

I need some urgent help regarding the hiring date for the employment letter.

Here is my situation:

I am going to Vancouver,Canada on Dec 9th for H1 visa stamping.

I am currently working with Company A as an employee since November 1.
Prior to that I was working at the same company A as a consultant since July
25th. The employment letter I got from my current employer Company A does not
mention any hiring date. Here are my concerns

1. Is it necessary to mention the hiring date in the employment letter?

2. Secondly I would like to know what should be the hiring date in the
employment letter (Nov 1 or July 25)

3. Finally if the consulate officer asks me how long have I worked for company
A , should I mention that I was consulting from July 25 and then working as a
full time employee since Nov 1.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
