H1 B - Extenstion Question

Question on my H1-B Extension :-

My Current H1-B visa is stamped in my passport with my I-94 expiry date of May-10-2014 , and Max-out date of my H1-B Visa is on Jan-26-2016 were I will be completing 6 years.

I am planning to apply extension in the coming months, my question is if in worst case if my extension is rejected should I need to exit US immediate or can I stay until my current Visa tenure May-10-2014 which is stamped in my passport ?

Appreciate if anyone could provide me a answer.

May-10-2014 Or May-10-2015? Please verify and put the exact date of your visa expiry as per passport, and your I-94 expiry. Its rare that I-94 would expire before visa, unless the passport is expiring, so double check the dates.

You cannot stay beyond your I-94 if extension is rejected, even if you have a valid visa.
