Hi
In a very unfortunate event, my Passport got stolen along with SSN, Indian ID Cards (PAN, Aadhar, Drivers Licence), and all my educational certificates (I kept everything in a bag, and it was stolen).
I filed a police complaint, and the original report will come in a couple of days. I spoke to the consulate and got the process
1. Visit Consulate InPerson and get the approval for a duplicate passport
2. Visit BLS office and apply for the passport
3. Once I receive the passport, I'll get it stamped when I go to India.
My place (Florida) falls under Atlanta Jurisdiction.
Has any one been in the same situation and gone through this process?
Could you please share me your experiences so that I won't miss any when I travel to Atlanta.
Since I don't have any original IDs, I'll try to notarize the xerox copies (If the bank does), otherwise I'll be left with just the xerox copies. I've just arrived to Florida and staying at a friend's place, so I dont have any residential proofs aswell. I'm really in a very confused state.
Regards
