Help! H4 to H1B..
Hello,
I have an approved H1b in 2013 and i'm currently staying in USA on H4. Now that i want to work i'm thinking of using my H1. My h1b was valid only for an year and it was valid till Nov 2014. Last week i contacted an staffing firm and they are saying that they have to file an new H1B and cannot do anything with the old one. Is there anything like i can transfer my old H1b to this company and then they can apply for an extension ? Is this possible or should we go and apply for a new one ?
Also, do i have to wait till the whole h1b process is complete or can i start working after filing an h1b ? ( I mean after getting the receipt number )
