    valid visa in Passport but received i797 amended

    Hi,

    I got my visa extension (I797) and it was approved till may 2016 then i went India and went for stamping and there also i got the visa in my passport till may 2016. Later for no reason another I 797 came from USCIS which says amended approval notice and expiry is 12/31/2014. What is my status now ? and what to do to resolve this. Do i need to apply an extension even though i have stamped visa in passport till May 2016???

    Did you apply any petition in between?? Check with your employer or attorney to understand more.
