Re-enter US with VISA expiring in less than 2 weeks

Hi,

I am traveling to India on Jan 22nd and will be coming back on Feb 15th, 2015. My H1 VISA is valid till Feb 27th, 2015 and I-797 till March 2016.

My question is, is it safe to re-enter US while my VISA is going to expire in less than 2 weeks or should I renew my VISA while I am in India.

Should not be a problem. A Visa is valid and you can use that.

Re-enter US within 10 days of L1B visa expiry

Hi,

My L1B visa and my petition is valid till 04-Mar-2015. I have to travel to India urgently by Jan 26th and am planning to return to the US by Feb 22nd or Feb 23rd which is just about 10 days before my L1B visa expiration date. Is it safe to undertake this travel? Will I be allowed to enter into the US without any issues? Can I file by L1B extension after I return on Feb 23rd?

Please let me know your thoughts.

I think you should be fine. Like I said, a visa is valid until the day of expiration.
