FNU Issue

Hi,

My friend got a Passport and she doesn't have a Last Name. She got a VISA too with FNU and her last name (eg. FNU YYYY ). If she filles I-94 with "FNU YYYY " and keep all her document with same name will she face any problem while applying for her "SSN" and "DMV"?

Please let me know as soon as possible. Its very urgent.

A FNU in US almost always causes issues with DMV, SSN, and host of other future interactions with Govt/Private systems. if I were you I would get my passport updated.

As she already got Visa, if she change her name in Passport is it require to chang it in Visa too or she can fly with same VISA with FNU as first name? Please helo

I am in the similar situation, I didn't get my i94 form.. I have fnu in given name.. Is it problem solved..

I can understand the pain of FNU...I went through hell got of blogs but i didn't find the best possible answer.....Then i wrote a query to U S VISA CONSULATE.... in reply they send me a mail.....if you wish to see the reply, please mail me so that i can forward you..Here is my mail [email protected]
