Hi, I am new to H1b so I have doubts that I would like to clarify.
Basically, I am applying for OPT now and waiting for my EAD to arrive, which is probably at the end of April. Based on my understanding, since I graduated on December 2014 no matter what my OPT will expire on February 2016.
I have found an H-1B sponsor who would like to file me H-1B this April and if possible next April.
Two questions:
1. Can I go out of the country now? There is an emergency situation comes up suddenly and it kinda leaves me no choice but to leave to my hometown
2. Will I be able to apply H-1B next year if I choose not to be filed this year? I understand there is a cap gap extension thingy, but I am not sure.
