Travel to India on H1, no Paystubs return on H4 already stamped.

Hi,

My wife has a H4 visa stamped in 2013 valid until 2016, we filed for H1 in 2014 and was approved, didn't find a job yet and the consultancy is not providing any Pay Stubs (they want to give her a letter explaining voluntary work without pay). I don't want to risk anymore...

1) Is she already out of status?
2) 180 days grace period applies in this case?
3) I am planning to send her to India and she can just come back on H4 Visa that she already have. Does she have go to Visa Stamping again?
4) COS is no more applicable, right?

She is pregnant and the baby is due in last week of May. I just want her to come back on H4. I don't care about the H1 anymore. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated !!

I am in the same situation now. I got my H1B valid from Oct 1, 2014. But didn't get placed in the project yet (Feb 2015).
Did your wife go to India and got H4 stamping again without any issues?
Please advise me, I am planning to go to India, get H4 stamping there and come back in H4. Will that work?
