H1 unused visa since 2009

Hi All,

I had filed H1 Visa in 2009 (authorized to work from Oct 2009) and got petition approved. I have never got it stamped. I am in United states now on L2. Can I get my That H1 extended now as I hope it is still valid till Oct 2015?
