Hi,
My employer wants to start GC process but I had been planning to change jobs. I am in my 4th year of H1-B and valid until Nov 2017 and I know you have to file by your 5th year.
If I switch jobs in the next 3-4 months and new employer has a probation period of 6-12 months and they start new GC process maybe in July 2016, would it be safe to switch now? I also don't want my current employer to file PERM and waste time/money. As it will anyways take a couple of months with all initial process, at the same time I can't say I am planning to switch.
