H1B transfer after expiration

Hi,

My H1B visa will be expiring this August 2015, but my work permit (I94) will be extended until December 2015. If I find an employer after my visa expires would it still be possible to transfer my visa status? I'm currently turning my 2nd year in my H1B visa eligibility.

As long as your I-94 is valid, your 6 Year limit has not been finished, and you are maintaining valid H1 by getting paid above or as per LCA, then it is possible for another employer to file for a "transfer" without the need for you to leave US.
