I work for Company ABC which filed my petition and I am going to work for same ABC in US. No Vendor, no client in between.
During my H1 stamping last week, VO's first question was tell me about your company XYZ. I was confused as I work for ABC and not XYZ. Company XYZ is not at all related to my petition anywhere.
I explained about my employer details..VO went away for a good 20 mins, cam back and said the system here shows that you work for XYZ and not ABC. He asked me other details of my employer and my work and role but then gave me a 221g blue slip with only "Admin processing" box checked. No documents requested. Vo returned my passport saying I dont know what the problem is and why this data is like this. He retained some docs and gave me a case number to track. There is no change to the case status as yet and no details from consulate.
I am wondering if this does happen that my petition shows a diff company during visa interview whereas all my other documents I797 etc are correct and show the correct company details.
Which point of the whole chain can this happen??. Has it happened to anyone here??
What should be my next steps and what steps will the consulate take to correct this? Will this go back to USICS for processing.
I am not able to find much details on a case like this on any forums..so pls guide me.
