I-797 Notice clarification

I received the following original documents I129 & I797C from the consulting company. But i didnt receive any document mentioning the I797 document. Is this required?. Please advice me. I have my appointment booked in January 2006.

I797C - Does it say approval notice? with a perforated page at the bottom? with a consulate listed. This is the I797 Approval Notice.

Yes it says Approval notice. Its mentioned abt the Chennai consulate section in the bottom. Is this right?. I am not sure what you mean by perforated? please clarify
