Hi All,

my current H1B visa is stamped with LCA for location in east coast(in house project) but my project is changed now to a location in west coast (same employer)but to a client location. My employer is asking to change LCA once I arrive US. is it Okay? can LCA be changed before to be on safe side?


What should recommended Port of Entry East or West ? and what documents I should carry to support?

Where is your employer physically located?

They have offices in East and West coast but Head Quarters ( petitioner) on East Coast.

Personally I do not see any issues in traveling to any POE however it is safe to apply for a LCA if your POE other than your initial petition .

Remember, Your petition has been approved and the visa has been issued for your initial petition. I would just go with that and I do not see any other issues if your documents are true.

This is my personal opinion and I am not an immigration expert.

My employer has filed an LCA for the new location. now I am concerned if there can be issues at POE as the location is different in petition and LCA and it was a inhouse project but now its a client project...

I am not sure if there is a something that can lead to complications at POE?

Please advice.... what documents I should carry to ease the situation.
