credit history

Hi,
I worked in US 2000 to 2003. I am working in my home country. I want to apply for new H1. My problem is I dont have a good credit history when I was in US, I may have about $1200 to one credit card. Will this be a problem for my new H1 ? Please suggest.

Counsulate officer will look at your legal status during your last stay in US. If that is OK then your credit history doesnot matter.

Non payment of credit card payment will cause you higher interest on loans or mortgages if you return to US. However, once you have income, many credit card companies can make you fresh competitive offers.
