I would like to have your advice here.

I had my H1 filed in 2007 and was in US from July 2008 to Aug 2009.
Can I use the same H1 petition and try for H1 cap exempt this year?

Yes you would be cap exempt till Aug 2015, i.e., 6 Years from last held H1 status.

Thanks for the update.
But I need some clarification here-
1. Should I file before August 2015 to be considered for cap exempt?
2. Or I am allowed to stay only till August 2015 if I use my old petition?

To be precise, what is this deadline of AUg 2015 mean??
