Apply for H1B two years in a row

Hello everyone,

I am currently a student on F1. I am applying for an OPT 12 months extension (graduating in May) , and will also be able to fill a petition for H1B on April 1st 2015 in a couple of days (I have all the required documentation aka letter from registrar office saying that I completed all degree requirements). My question is: If my H1B gets denied this year because of the quota, will I be able to apply next year (April 1st 2016) at the end of my OPT 12 months extension for a second time with the same employer? Is there a limit of times I can apply for H1B?

Hello zozoheir,

If your H1B petition is not among the random lottery in this year cap, you are still eligible to file for H1B in next year cap. There is no limit of times in filing H1B yearly.
