2006 Approved H1B Transfer Possibility

Hello All,

I have got H1B approved and stamped in Oct 2006. It was considered in 2006 CAP.

I never used this visa and never traveled to US.

Can someone guide me if it is still possible to transfer this visa under CAP-Exempt category ?

Is there any years limit after which visa can't be transferred at all ?

Appreciate if someone can guide me on this front.

One is cap exempt for 6 Years from initial petition approval OR withing 6 Years of last held H1 status. Since you qualify for neither, you would need to get another petition in fresh cap.
