H1B in progress, delay the start date and vacation in US

Hi,

I'm filling a h1b form that will be submit the 1st of April. So, if accepted, I will be able to join the company in US from the 1st of October.
I understood that I'm able to start later (with the agreement of the company), but can I travel in US for vacation (or conference):
- from today until the h1b approval?
- from the h1b approval until the 1st of October?
- from the the 1st of October, before joining the company? If we decide that I will join the company in March for example, can I travel between October and March?
